“What Will We Do NEXT?” wasn’t just a question — it was a call. A gathering of hearts and minds, where art didn’t just reflect the world, it reshaped it.
We were honored to witness powerful reflections from visual artists Tracy Murrell and Charly Palmer, poet and storyteller Jon Goode, and NEXT CEO Faith Carmichael. Their stories were honest, moving, and deeply rooted in the belief that art is resistance, healing, and action.
And then CC Sunchild closed the night with a performance that felt like a blessing — her voice, her presence, pure magic. It was the kind of moment that stays with you long after the lights go out.

What Will We Do NEXT?
Gathered Atlanta’s leading artists, storytellers, and community voices for a powerful evening under the stars — where art sparked conversation, reflection, and connection about how we move forward, together.
To everyone who helped make this night special — thank you. To our sponsors and partners — City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, MARTA Artbound, BLVD NEXT, Built on Faith Custom Homes.— your belief in this work made it possible. The evening was also a testament to the passion and excellence of the NEXT Team: Yana Lee Fong, Leah Howard, Paris Humphrey Jr., Catherine Lee, Alexander Parhm Jr., Chandra Pendergraft, Anthony Thomas and Leslyn Wong — as well as our incredible volunteers.
Let’s keep asking: What will we do NEXT?
And let’s keep answering — with art, with action, and with each other.
Art sparks change — but it’s up to us to carry it forward.
What’s one step, one action, or one idea — big or small — that artists and supporters of the arts can take to help shape what comes NEXT?
For those fortunate enough to have been in the space, the evening was a blessing. We are full. We are grateful.
For those who missed it — we’ll see you… NEXT time!
